workforce vanpool program

With average commutes reaching 30 miles in Eastern Placer County, the TNT/TMA, in partnership with Mountaineer Transit Company and Commute with Enterprise, launched the North Lake Tahoe Workforce Vanpool Program in December 2023. This cost-effective, eco-friendly commuting option helps employees save money, reduce single-occupancy vehicle trips, and improve access to work. This program is funded by TOT-TBID Dollars at Work.

A quote from an employee

“I’ve been vanpooling here at Palisades for about three seasons. It’s a great program with a lot of benefits associated with it, obviously the cost savings. One of the other things is the peace of mind of knowing that you have a safe, reliable vehicle to get to work in.”

Dave Harvey, Palisades Tahoe employee
