Building on the success of previous TART Park & Ride programs, the free event shuttle program is expanding to make it easier for residents and visitors to attend popular Tahoe City events while helping reduce traffic congestion, parking demand, and environmental impacts. The program launches February 27, 2026, and will operate through April 9, 2027. This program is funded by TOT-TBID Dollars at Work and managed by Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association, Tahoe City Downtown Association, and Palisades Tahoe.

Designed to increase public transit use for local events, the program offers two shuttle options. The Olympic Valley shuttle offers free parking at Palisades and makes stops at Everline, River Ranch, and TART Olympic Valley stops. The West Shore shuttle stops at Granlibakken, Sunnyside, Homewood, and Tahoma. By providing a convenient alternative to driving into Tahoe City, the shuttle aims to decrease vehicle miles traveled and greenhouse gas emissions, while improving the overall event experience.

The free shuttle will serve a wide range of community events throughout the season, including:

  • SNOWFEST Fireworks | February 27
  • Tahoe City Food & Wine Classic | June 6
  • Concerts at Commons | Sundays, June 14-Sept. 6
  • Fourth of July Celebrations | July 3-5
  • Tahoe City Oktoberfest | September 19
  • And more

“This program offers a simple, stress-free way to enjoy Tahoe City’s most popular events while supporting our shared goals of sustainability and reduced congestion,” said Sara Van Siclen, Executive Director of the Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association. “By choosing the shuttle, attendees help protect the community and environment that make these events special.”

Additional event dates, schedules, and shuttle details will be announced closer to each event.
