TART’s winter Park & Ride program is back, offering more frequent service to help reduce traffic and parking congestion getting to and from Palisades Tahoe, Northstar California, and Sugar Bowl. Starting December 13, shuttles to Palisades Tahoe and Northstar will run every weekend from designated Park & Ride lots. On weekdays, both resorts remain accessible via TART’s regular bus routes. The Sugar Bowl/Donner Summit shuttle begins December 8, operating five loops daily. This route not only brings skiers to the resort but also provides an important connection for residents and employees traveling to downtown Truckee—an area not typically served by TART.

This program is funded by TOT-TBID Dollars at work, Placer County TOT, Palisades Tahoe, Northstar California, and Nevada County, and managed by the Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association (TNT/TMA). Park & Ride programs support the organization’s mission to advance sustainable transportation solutions in the region.

“This program is an important step toward reducing congestion and cutting carbon emissions in our busiest corridors,” said Sara Van Siclen, Executive Director of the Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association. “It gives both residents and visitors convenient, reliable, and environmentally friendly ways to move around the region.”

Reservations are not needed, and overnight parking is prohibited.
