In an effort to eliminate dangerous roadside parking at one of Tahoe’s most iconic destinations, Keep Tahoe Blue and the Tahoe Fund are offering a convenient shuttle to Emerald Bay from Camp Richardson, Sugar Pine, and South Tahoe “Y” Transit Center. Operating seven days a week, the shuttle helps reduce congestion, protects the environment, and makes your trip more relaxing.

TART Connect is a microtransit service designed to bridge the gap between your door and the bus stop. For longer regional trips, riders are encouraged to use TART’s bus services, which offer frequent stops and convenient drop-off locations throughout the area.

WORKFORCE VANPOOL PROGRAM
With average commutes reaching 30 miles in Eastern Placer County, the TNT/TMA, in partnership with Mountaineer Transit Company and Commute with Enterprise, launched the North Lake Tahoe Workforce Vanpool Program in January 2024. This cost-effective, eco-friendly commuting option helps employees save money, reduce single-occupancy vehicle trips, and improve access to work. Vanpools are matched based on location and work shifts, and Enterprise provides AWD/4WD vehicles, insurance, maintenance, and support.

Funding comes from TOT-TBID Dollars at Work, with additional subsidies for routes involving Washoe County.

Are you passionate about improving transportation in the Tahoe Truckee region? Join our Board to be a part of solving our region’s mobility challenges. Applicants must reside in or represent a business in the area. The four-year term runs from November 2025 to November 2029, with eligibility for re-election. Ideal candidates are involved in transportation, familiar with regional issues, and committed to advancing mobility solutions. Board meetings are held monthly, typically in a hybrid format. MEET OUR NEW PROGRAM MANAGER

We’re excited to welcome Caroline Craffey to the TNTTMA team as our new Program Manager! Caroline brings more than a decade of experience in communication, project management, and administration. Shortly after relocating to the region in 2019, she shifted her focus to the nonprofit sector, motivated by a passion for community-building and impact-driven work. In her free time Caroline enjoys all of the recreational opportunities that Tahoe has to offer.
