The Truckee North Tahoe Transportation Management Association (TNT/TMA) hosted a 30th Anniversary Celebration on November 4th, 2021 at the Plaza Bar at Palisades Tahoe. Event attendees included local transportation partners, elected officials and TNT/TMA members, board members, and staff.
The event program celebrated the organization’s efforts, since 1990, to foster public-private partnerships and resources for advocacy and to promote innovative solutions to the unique transportation challenges of the North Lake Tahoe-Truckee Resort Triangle.
Board Chair, Dan Wilkins opened the program, inviting Steve Teshara, of Sustainable Community Advocates and a founding TNT/TMA Board member, to share the history of the TNT/TMA. This was followed by brief remarks by Placer County Supervisor Cindy Gustafson, who served as the organization’s second Executive Director.
The awards presentation portion of the event recognized transportation projects and individuals who have advanced transportation in the region. The award categories included: Member Recognition- Innovative Funding Mechanisms, Regional Trails Implementation, Innovative Transit Project: Micro-Transit, Transportation Corridor Enhancement, and the Chip Matcham Dedication Award.

The celebration concluded with a farewell to Christine Maley-Grubl, the organization’s Executive Director, who retired on November 8th, 2021.
